We use sugarcane fiber/bagasse to make sugarcane bagasse cups. Bagasse is the fibrous matter that remains after sugarcane stalks are crushed to extract their juice, a product that would traditionally be thrown out and regarded as waste. Bagasse is then heat pressed into the desired shape of the product using a high-heat, high-pressure process to make sugarcane cups and other tableware.
